As a collaborative project, Dan and I are presenting a postmark calendar for all 366 possible days of the year, represented by interesting appropriate date cancellation stamps from the Kimble collection.
We are publishing, during 2017, a monthly blog post with the date postmarks for that month for everyone's enjoyment.
The introduction, dedication, and links to the other months that have been published, is included with the January post.

Hello, Jim! Another great calendar page! The beautiful stamp that marks the date of March, 11 is from the 3rd issue of Federal Bill Stamps in Canada. The year of issue is 1868, but I don't know the Scott catalog number (I'm sorry for that)! Regards, Catalin
ReplyDeleteThanks Catalin. I don't have information on Revenue stamps. so your information was helpful.
DeleteHey Jim, I was particularly interested in the fact that Dan's calendar is from Knox College, which is located in my hometown of Galesburg, Illinois. Is he located in Galesburg? Because it would be great to have a philatelic contact when I travel back home! Thanks, Ray
ReplyDeleteNo, Dan and I live in the same town in Oregon.
DeleteBut he did attend Knox College as an undergraduate, and I believe he may still be in alumni contact with them.
