Andorra - Bud's Big Blue

Andorra in Big Blue
Bud's Big Blue
Bud's Observations
About 30 years ago I sped through Andorra in a rush to Spain, stopping only at La Vella, a destination for discount shoppers and a nightmare for everyone else. At the time I owned no Andorra stamps. But had I seen beforehand the engraved Chapel of Meritxell or Saint Anthony’s bridge or St. Miguel d’Engolasters (1932-39), I would have explored the Pyrenees more thoroughly. Now, at least, I have all five designs as consolation.

BB’s selection for Spanish Andorra eluded my album for more years than those of French Andorra, and were more expensive.

Census: 38 in BB spaces, no tip-ins, 19 on the supplement page

Jim's Observations
Bud has the 30c olive brown (First row, second from end), which is at least a CV $65 stamp.  As I discuss in the Andorra blog post, the editors could have been nicer to BB collector's wallets if they had substituted/ allowed the 1936-43 Scott 31 30c carmine (CV $2), or the  1929 Scott 21 50c deep orange (CV $2+).

I am missing a good deal of Andorra's BB stamps, with 20 spaces to go, mostly for Spanish Andorra.
